Behavior 101 and 102: Parenting children from trauma backgrounds can be challenging and frustrating. This series of videos is designed to give you practical tools to help you build a relationship based on trust and understanding.
Behavior 202 will take a deeper dive into understanding the brain/body connection in children from hard places and how that all connects to behaviors. We will take a look at Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and discuss how that developmental progression is often interrupted due to unresolved traumatic experiences. Additionally, there will be an overview of attachment – specifically focusing on Disorganized Attachment and how a parent or professional can best partner with a child to perpetuate healing. Behavior 202 is designed to be an accompaniment to Behavior 101.
