Every child is God’s unique creation. Help your child see all the ways God made them special by adding this easy game to your morning routine.

Prepare Your Child
Play this game on a school morning when you aren’t in a rush or on the weekend. Tell your child you’re going to do an activity once they’re dressed for the day, but tell them to wait to put on their socks, coat, etc. until the game starts.

Finish Getting Dressed
Say: It always amazes me how wonderful God made you! And today, we’re going to celebrate all the ways you’re unique. Each time you put on one of your last pieces of clothes, I want you to name something special about you.
Have your child name something special about themselves whenever they put on:
- A sock
- A shoe
- Jewelry
- Watch
- Coat
- Backpack
- Headband
Do: Respond encouragingly whenever your child names a trait you especially love about them, too.

Say: Every human has been uniquely made by God. No two of us are alike!
Look at all these amazing skills and qualities you named. Just like a puzzle, God made you with a bunch of different skills, preferences and talents — all put together!
Share the hope of God’s Word and pray together with your child.
