When you’ve got a mess to clean, turn it into a treasure hunt. This simple game builds confidence and teaches kids that even small tasks can honor God—and that He sees every act of responsibility.

Step 1

Step 1

Set the Scene

Say: We’re going on a clean-up treasure hunt! You’re the explorer! Your job is to find and return items to their homes. I’ll give clues, and you do the hunting!

Optional: Hide a small “treasure” for your child to find during the game.

Step 2

Step 2

Hunt and Clean

Give playful clues:

  • “Can you find something soft and red?”
  • “Rescue the lost shoe under the couch!”
  • “Find three books that need to go back to the shelf!”

Celebrate progress along the way.

Step 3

Step 3

Praise & Prayer

Say: You did such a great job helping clean up! God sees and values even the small things we do—especially when we do them with a good attitude.

Share the hope of God’s Word and pray together with your child.

Scripture Verse

“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

Prayer

Dear God, thank You for helping us care for the things You’ve given us. Help us to do even small jobs with joy and love. In Jesus’ name, amen.
